The Western Colorado Children’s Water Festival is for 5th GRADERS ONLY
I, Lynette Wilhelm, will be heading up the group for the local – independent homeschooling kids that would like to participate at this years Water Festival. Please e-mail me with student names, age, grade. I also need some parents to stay and help – e-mail me if you can. jade_star2@yahoo.com
Depending on how many students we have, I will need a few additional parent volunteers to help out that day. Children should dress to be in the sun and GET WET! As well, they will need to bring a sack-lunch for the day. This is an all day activity with inside and outside activities.
The Western Colorado Children’s Water Festival is a great fun day activity to come out and get a hands-on look at everything about water!
Students have an opportunity to learn about the variety of water related career opportunities, as well as water rights, water in the human body, water conservation, water pollution, water safety, water species, water treatment, the dependency of water in a variety of industries, and much more.
Presentations are structured to the fifth grade learning level, which allows the students to retain the information in a hands on and educational manner. We work closely with school districts, private schools, and home schools to match the festival experience with their water curriculum.
